Humane Society of North Texas
The Humane Society of North Texas (HSNT) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to saving, sheltering, protecting, and advocating for animals in need, with a vision of building a community where pets and people save each other. During the first half of 2026, I had the opportunity to work as a Graphic Design and Marketing Intern, where I created digital and print campaigns to support adoption initiatives and fundraising efforts. Using tools like Adobe Creative Suite and Canva, I developed engaging, on-brand visuals that helped increase visibility, drive adoptions, and contribute to overall funding growth.
This project entails designing a one-page impact report for HSNT, transforming over 15 key 2025 statistics into a visually engaging, on-brand layout. Created as my first project as an intern, the report was developed to communicate impact in a way that feels both informative and compelling for sponsors. The final design was used across social media, the organization’s website, and in sponsor mail-outs, helping highlight the tangible difference their support makes.
This promotional flyer was designed for the HSNT MEGA Adoption Event, an iconic annual initiative hosted by HSNT and other shelters in the area. The flyer highlights key event details—including dates, location, sponsors, and a QR code for a fast pass—while emphasizing the scale of the event with engaging, on-brand visuals and messaging. As a primary marketing asset, it played an important role in driving attendance, supporting adoption turnout, and increasing overall event visibility.
These reusable "Foster of the Month" templates are the perfect ready-to-go social media post. Each layout includes a flexible image frame and editable text areas for the foster’s name and story, creating a system that is easy to update and reuse over time. The designs balance consistency and variety, sticking to HSNT's color palette while still resulting in a friendly design that strengthens ongoing community engagement.
These “Volunteer of the Month” social media templates were built as a companion to the foster series. Similarly, their blue-toned layouts feature flexible image and text areas, creating ready-to-use posts that are easy to update while maintaining a cohesive, on-brand look.
This project entails refining a training slide deck for the Equine Ranch at the Humane Society of North Texas, where rescued horses are cared for. While preserving all original content, I redesigned each slide to improve clarity, readability, and overall visual consistency with the brand. The updated deck serves as a long-term training resource, helping new volunteers easily understand essential safety information.
